DANGER SIGNS are used where an immediate hazard situation exists and if not avoided, will result in DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY. Danger wording should not be considered for property damage accidents unless personal injury risk is present.
All employees shall be instructed that DANGER SIGNS indicate immediate danger and that special precautions are necessary. OSHA 1910.145(c)(1)(ii).
The sign should contain sufficient information to be easily understood. OSHA 1910.145(e)(2).
